ICE's first Skills Conference outlined the abilities employees need in the post-recession economy, and provided analysis on the most effective ways of ensuring they have them.
The event explored how to upskill, re-engage and optimise employees and identify today’s business critical skills.
The STEM skills shortage in the UK is complicating the ability of firms to meet the rising demand in construction. Immediate focus must shift from searching for new employees to making the most of current ones.
Following years of financial squeeze and underinvestment, companies who invest in their personnel - developing and enhancing their skills - will find those employees in turn contribute their utmost to the strategy and vision of their employers.
