Lessons learnt from key construction projects sucessfully utilising BIM
Ever since 2011 and the 1st ICE BIM Conference, the construction industry has been digitally transforming itself, driven by the BIM Level 2 Government Mandate. ICE has always been at the forefront of this effort, offering high-value technical knowledge and providing a platform to debate the key strategic steps that need to be taken to unlock its full potential.
The 6th ICE BIM Conference in 2016 brought the industry together once more and paved the way for further collaboration in the years to come: Mark Bew launched Digital Built Britain, Anne Kemp launched and shared her vision for the UK BIM Alliance, Herman Winkels provided a highly sought-after Dutch perspective on BIM utilisation, Ilka May and Kim Jung showcased how gaming engines are being utilised in construction projects in Germany and Alain Waha provided a unique perspective on why organisations absolutely need to transform to remain relevant or die-out.
On 13 October 2017, the 7th ICE BIM Conference will also be transforming itself. It will become ‘Shaping a Digital World’, to provide invaluable insight on the state of the industry, discuss the next steps of Digital Built Britain, showcase exceptional implementation of digital engineering in projects and lead the debate on:
Through a series of case studies, project presentations, workshops and panel discussions, attendees will exchange views, understand the latest developments in industry, discuss the real needs and challenges of organisations and bring-in their perspectives on how the profession can take full advantage of the digital world that lies ahead.
