29 February 2012

The development of possibilities to harness offshore wind presents a wealth of opportunity for the UK to generate an increasing amount of energy from a limitless renewable source. Ports play an integral role in the harnessing of this energy and the marriage of these two industries presents a number of opportunities and challenges.

ICE Ports and the Offshore Wind Industry 2012 brought together 160 senior decision makers from across the ports and offshore wind supply chains in Liverpool to discuss the vital role that UK ports play in supporting offshore wind developments.

The conference was fully booked and featured presentations from the European Investment Bank, Scottish Enterprise, The Crown Estate, Marine Maritime Organisation, Able UK, Peel Ports and many more.
